The Samsung media players are along the top of the line blu ray disc players. The Samsung blu ray player has full HD playback, detailed pictures, bright colors, and a high definition of 1080p. The media players by Samsung have Anynet+ technology, which allows you to control the blu ray by using a remote.

Now, this all sounds great on paper, but how well does the product really work?

The Samsung BD-P1500 is one of the more popular media players to choose from because it is easy to operate, provides great quality, and it’s multi-function with CD, DVD, and blu-ray functions.

Looking at the main features, we can easily see why the BD-P1500 is rated a four star product.

  • Blu-ray full HD playback basically means that your picture is going to be crystal clear. The 24 frames-per-second allows for every pixel to be seen with vivid colors and a natural image. You can play regular DVDs and get a near HD quality image.
  • BD-Live ready is a firmware update that lets you download images, subtitles, and more straight from your media player. You can even text with friends during a movie or while playing online games.
  • Anynet+ technology lets you use one remote instead of many different remotes ot control your blu ray player, TV, and stereo. It allows for a one-touch control for HDMI-connected devices.
  • HDMI 1.3 is a high definition media interface that lets you experience billions of colors using just one cable, which is great because you don’t have to have a knot of tangled cables.
  • Firmware updates are available so that you can constantly upgrade your Samsung media player versus it become outdated technology within a month after purchase.

The features of these media players are great, and the best part is that they work beautifully and are quite reliable.

The product measured about 16.9W x 3.3H x 10.8D and weighs about 8.8 pounds, which is about the size of your average DVD player, but better because it has tons of upgrades, downloads, and current technology to ensure that the product is yours for a while.

Just keep in mind that the main complaint with the product is that it does occasionally stop DVDs while playing, but the quickest and easiest fix is to check for upgrades, as generally you’ll find that when there’s upgrade, you’ll experience a few minor problems with the machine.
