The australian broadband guarantee is an act by the government that has been put into place to set up broadband for small and large business operations throughout Australia. The plan works through the government paying those Internet companies who have signed up with the plan to distribute broadband throughout the country to small and residential businesses and areas of all kinds. The government has poured $250.8 million into the project to supply the Internet to Australia for four years up until 2012. The choices that you have in Internet greatly depend on your location and the technology that they are using. It is different for most people, and the act was created to help get Internet across the country to businesses who previously went without. It is a joint cooperation between the Internet companies who have signed on to the project, and the government who has set up the guarantee.

This was designed to get Internet to metro and suburb areas of Australia, and it provides up to three years of this coverage. If you are eligible to get this set up, then you can be provided with this broadband. It can save you thousands of dollars a year if you are set up with this broadband. It aims to help set people up who have slower Internet connection or no Internet connection at all to get faster and more reliable Internet so they can achieve fast connection speeds. The broadband guarantee is set up to run through 2012, and is aimed at those businesses in small or residential areas, as well as homes and neighborhoods.

There are several different kinds of people who are eligible to get this government broadband. You must be a residential household, live in an area with no access to broadband, a small business with less then 20 employees, or an Indigenous Community Council. If you do not fall into one of those categories then you do not become eligible to get the broadband, and it is a great way to get broadband if you need it. The speeds are faster and the government has worked with several other Internet providers to set this up.
